Mrs. Middleton, Kari

Manager of Business Development and Solutions

Kari Middleton is the Manger of Business Development for Pima Community College. In this role she develops and implements employer supported training, coordinates, and executes high level tours, and cultivates strategic partnerships with business and industry representatives. In her role, she oversees non-credit training programs to include the upskilling and reskilling at the Center of Opportunity, which provides training aimed towards high priority jobs with sustainable living wages. When Kari took her first job in higher education as a federal work study in the admissions office in 2003, she never thought she would continue in the industry, never mind find a job in education wherever she followed her then active-duty Air Force husband. Kari has experience with student recruitment, faculty management, curriculum development, business development and networking among many other things. Having settled in her role at Pima Community College, she is able to utilize many different skill sets to ensure the Business Development and Engagement team is successful. In addition to her current position, Kari is involved with several non-profit organizations in the Tucson community. She currently serves as the President of the Board for the 162nd Air Guardians, a non-profit that supports the one of the largest Air National Guard Wings in the United States. She is also currently the Honorary Commander of the 43rd Electronic Combat Squadron on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, on the board of the Southern Arizona Defense Alliance and Southern Arizona Honor Flight to name a few. She sees great value in supporting our active duty military members and veterans and has recently been working on developing a non-credit training program with one of Pima Community College’s military partners, combining both her passion and profession. Her goals moving forward include more work in the military and veteran community as well as continuing to provide training opportunities to the homeless population in the Tucson community.
