Currently serving as the Regional Project Manager for College and Career Pathways at the Center for the Future of Arizona, Moises is dedicated to building and expanding pathways for career exploration, early college programs of studies, and work-based learning opportunities within Yuma County. With nearly a decade experience in Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs, his workforce development experience began with providing workforce services to underserved - high risk youth at ARIZONA@WORK's Youth Program. Later transitioning to WIOA Business Services, Moises has had a long history of forging strong relationships between workforce programs and industry, contributing to the overall economic and workforce development of Yuma County. Now in his current role, his commitment to serve his community continues behind college and career pathways initiatives that empower students and schools to thrive in the Southwest region.

This session aims to explore the transformative potential of youth apprenticeships in cultivating a skilled and empowered workforce for the future. The topics we will cover include: introduction to youth apprenticeships, benefits and impact, key components of successful apprenticeships, engagement with employers and addressing challenges and solutions. Attendees will gain insights into the Center for the Future of Arizona's (CFA) involvement in apprenticeships and explore methods to create an apprenticeship program in collaboration with CFA.
