The Yuma County Department of Public Works, Yuma Union High School District, and the Center for the Future of Arizona have partnered to host a countywide CTE Career Fair that exposes students to high-demand technical and public-sector careers through hands-on demonstrations and direct engagement with professionals. This session will highlight the career fair’s impact, including increased student awareness of local career pathways and stronger educator–industry relationships, and provide a step-by-step overview of the model used to plan, staff, and sustain the event. Attendees will also learn the region’s practical strategies for recruiting public-sector partners, designing interactive student experiences, and navigating logistics and coordination. Expect to leave with a clear, replicable framework you can use to launch or enhance a similar public-sector-driven CTE Career Fair in their own region.
