VP Programs

Nicole Davis serves as the Vice President of Programs at the Work-Based Learning Alliance (WBLA), a non-profit whose mission is to provide all high school students across the United States with access to industry connected learning experiences. With extensive experience across education, partnerships, and learning management, Nicole is dedicated to making high-quality career connected learning opportunities available to high school students across the country in an equitable, accessible and sustainable way. Nicole started her career as a special education teacher. Prior to joining WBLA Nicole spent 15 years driving design, development and execution of learning programs with Sylvan Learning, Northeastern University, and edtech company Practera. Nicole holds a bachelor’s degree in special education from Florida Southern College, master’s degree in mental health counseling from Boston College, and MBA from Northeastern University. Outside of work, Nicole is also a Girl Scout troop leader and service unit advisor in her community.

Virtual internships offer high school students real-world workplace experiences while breaking geographical barriers and increasing equitable access. This session will illuminate how this innovative approach enhances school and business partnerships and fosters students' understanding of diverse career pathways and industries as they develop critical professional skills.
