Engagement and Placement Coordinator

Ashley Lown is a recognized leader in workforce development and Career and Technical Education (CTE), with a proven track record of creating impactful partnerships that prepare students for the future workforce. As the Engagement and Placement Coordinator at Pima County JTED, Ashley has spearheaded district-wide Work-Based Learning (WBL) initiatives, securing key business collaborations, increasing internship opportunities, and driving innovative workforce solutions. She works closely with local employers, government agencies, and community organizations to align CTE programs with regional economic development goals, and has nurtured a 46% annual increase in business participation in internships. She also leads professional development initiatives, training educators to enhance workforce readiness skills in students, and developing systems to streamline business and school collaboration. A published author and award-winning educator, Ashley has been recognized for her innovative approaches to workforce alignment, receiving accolades such as the Arizona CTE Program of the Year and the Golden Bell Award. She holds a Master’s in Biological Sciences from Miami University and is a National Board Certified Teacher in CTE. Through her leadership, Ashley continues to champion the integration of education and workforce strategies, ensuring a skilled and prepared workforce for tomorrow’s economy.
