Kevin Johns is a Tucson native, musician, audio engineer, and independent DJ/business owner with over 12 years of industry experience. Kevin is not your average event DJ! He has brought a unique touch to the disc-jockey industry through his passion for music, music history and theory, and his knowledge and inclination for effortless and seamless song transitions that keep any crowd engaged at any event. Kevin graduated from Catalina Magnet High School in 2009, was a member of the University of Arizona's marching band (2011-2012), as well as attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Science (CRAS) in 2021. Kevin has held many residencies throughout the Tucson and Phoenix Area over his years of DJing. A highlighted residency includes being the University of Arizona Athletics DJ from 2016-2018!

Join Kevin Johns, aka DJ E.M.S (Eclectic Musiqal Soul), to discover current trends in music genres and mixing/audio engineering, while addressing essential STEM concepts and current industry trends. This informative workshop is for any and all instructors who value excellent audio mixing and production in their programs (Music and Audio Production, Film and TV Production, and more!) The workshop will be followed by a non-hosted social hour for ALL Communication Media Technology (CMT) stakeholders and conference attendees from 5-6 PM.
