Channa Van Dam-Hay, RN, BNS is an American Heart Association ACLS/PALS/BLS Instructor who brings emergency room experience to her teaching style. Channa worked in the emergency room for a local hospital system for 8 years. She also worked in an Ambulatory Surgery Center setting in the Post Acute Care Unit. Channa has been a Nurse Educator for just over two years with Desert Education Solutions.

Basic Life Support (BLS) is designed to provide education to a wide variety of healthcare teachers, healthcare students and medical professionals. What is covered: The ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner are the main highlights of the curriculum. Upon completion, participants will receive an American Heart Association Card Basic Life Support card that is valid for two years.
