With more than 49 years of experience in education Cathie Raymond has dedicated a lifetime to advancing Career and Technical Education (CTE) and supporting students, educators, and school systems across Arizona. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (Vocational Home Economics) and a Master’s degree in Secondary Vocational Guidance and Counseling, both from Northwest Missouri State University. Throughout her distinguished career, Cathie has served in a wide range of roles—from classroom teacher to district administrator, including 27 years with the Marana Unified School District. She later served as Deputy Associate Superintendent and State CTE Director for the Arizona Department of Education, where she played a key leadership role in shaping statewide CTE policy and program development. Currently, Cathie contributes her expertise as a CTE Professional Development Trainer with Tucson Unified School District, helping educators strengthen their practice and expand opportunities for students. Her decades of service have been recognized with numerous honors, most notably the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023, reflecting her enduring impact on the field of education and her unwavering commitment to student success.
