Smith-Dryden, Sally

Teacher

My name is Sally Smith-Dryden and I am a Tucson native. I am a married mom with two children and we love to spend time together on the weekends. In my spare time, I enjoy reading books, I especially love a good series, and enjoy baking. We have 3 dogs that enjoy walks and coffee dates! I graduated from the University of Arizona with my Masters Degree in Secondary Education. For the past 7 years I have been teaching in the Vail School District as a middle school reading teacher. In my classroom, I work hard on fostering positive relationships with students and families, and I use a lot of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports to help students feel valued in our classroom space.

Is your school addressing fallout from interrupted schooling during the pandemic? Are your students struggling to focus and self-regulate? The pandemic has highlighted the need for executive functioning skills (EFs) in students! EFs enable students to plan, focus attention, remember instructions, and juggle multiple tasks successfully. Learn to support students through a predictable routine that encourages the EFs needed to achieve academically & in the workplace. Through parallel-process, Organized Binder helps students hone their EFs within the context of what they are learning.
