With over 25 years of experience in education and nearly 18 years as an instructional coach, Dayna Hess is deeply committed to helping educators grow and thrive in their practice. Currently, Dayna works at West-MEC, where she has the privilege of learning from and sharing insights with an incredibly talented group of teachers. Dayna's passion for teaching was ignited by the exceptional mentors she had early in her career, who pushed her to continuously strive for excellence for the benefit of her students. Outside of work, Dayna lives in Glendale, AZ with her husband, two college-aged kids, and Leo the dog, who keeps them on their toes. Dayna believes in the power of collaboration, lifelong learning, and the impact great teaching can have on students' lives.

Every educator faces challenges in the classroom that can be difficult to navigate. In this session, participants will engage in a structured protocol aimed at generating ideas, exploring potential solutions, and gaining new perspectives on addressing persistent teaching concerns that fall within a teacher's locus of control. Participants will also receive guidance on how to implement this strategy in their classrooms, empowering students to provide constructive feedback to their peers.
