Elizabeth Sharkey Workforce Development Coordinator Elizabeth Sharkey is a dedicated and accomplished professional with a proven track record of advancing student success through innovative career and technical education (CTE) programs and strategic industry partnerships. Serving the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) since 2016, Elizabeth currently excels as the Workforce Development Coordinator for secondary and post-secondary Health Science programs. In her role, Elizabeth supports over 40 CTE programs, fostering alignment between industry standards and educational curricula. She leads efforts to design and execute internship programs, ensuring students gain hands-on experience that bridges the gap between classroom learning and career readiness. Her responsibilities include cultivating partnerships with industry leaders, developing advisory boards, and driving initiatives that increase job placement opportunities for students. With a strong background in counseling and education, Elizabeth has guided diverse student populations, provided timely crisis interventions, and built nurturing environments that support individual development. Her career also includes experience in law enforcement, adult education, and program management, further enriching her ability to connect with a wide range of stakeholders. Elizabeth’s commitment to excellence is complemented by her technical proficiency in tools such as FOCUS, CANVAS, Monday.com, Google Systems, Microsoft Systems, TCT, iVisions, MyClinicalExchange, HealthStream, and Adobe. Her ability to leverage these systems ensures efficient program operations and effective communication with students, educators, and industry partners. An advocate for lifelong learning and collaboration, Elizabeth has earned recognition for her ability to inspire, lead, and deliver impactful results.
