Heidi graduated from Arizona State University with a BA and MA in Secondary Education and is an ELA teacher with a gifted endorsement. Heidi just finished her 31st year teaching ELA and formerly taught Education Professions and advised her FCCLA chapter. She also assists with her campus, Mountain Ridge High School's FBLA and DECA chapters. Additionally, she is the ELA department co chair and also currently works as an editor for the Arizona Curriculum Connection. She was recognized as the recipient of the 2024 Carl Perkins Community Service Award through ACTEAZ. Heidi enjoys spending time with her husband and children, aged 27 and 23, as well as reading, painting, jigsaw puzzles and Bingo.
