Janet Wright-Moore is a dynamic leader and advocate for young children, serving as the Phoenix South Regional Director at First Things First of Arizona. With a passion for early childhood education that spans decades, Janet has dedicated her career to shaping the future—one child, one family, and one community at a time. A devoted wife and proud mother of two adult children, Janet has worn many hats in the early childhood field, excelling as a teacher, administrator, trainer, assessor, and coach. She holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and special education and a master’s degree in early childhood administration, equipping her with the expertise to drive meaningful change. Recognized as a thought leader, Janet champions innovation, equity, and continuous improvement, ensuring that all children—regardless of background—have access to high-quality early learning experiences. Guided by her powerful motto, “Different Does Not Mean Deficient,” she challenges outdated narratives and uplifts communities, striving to make a lasting impact. The second half will be given for teachers to collaborate and network on best practices and share effective strategies implemented in their classroom. Address needs to fill in gaps for tricky standards, establish needs in professional development, and address common program questions. Mini resource presentations provided from LEAs and industry partners who support these programs across the state. Bring some of your best samples and resources you'd like to share!
