Mr. Brian Hoffner is currently the STEM Program Administrator for the office of the Maricopa County School Superintendent. Brian is responsible for the development of curricular resources to support Arizona Science Standards and STEM integration. As the former host for STEM Pro Live and Solve It, his focus is to provide career awareness for students and demonstrate how the curriculum is applied in the real world and industry. Other responsibilities include designing and delivering professional development to teachers and leaders to ensure highly effective instructional practices. Before joining the office, Brian was a clinical associate professor for Arizona State University, working as the course coordinator for secondary and elementary science, teaching courses (science methods, class instruction and pedagogy, management, and curriculum and assessment) while supporting teachers in the field. Brian began as a secondary science teacher in the classroom for 12 years, teaching science and coaching boys’ basketball.
