Dr. Roy, Brittani
Director of Educational Policy and Program Integrity
Dr. Brittani Roy serves as the Director of Educational Policy and Program Integrity and oversees the Office of Homeless, Foster Care, and Refugee Education Programs at the Arizona Department of Education (ADE). Dr. Roy was born and raised in Tennessee but found her calling to advocate and serve students after moving to Arizona. Prior to joining ADE, she worked in Title I schools throughout the state as a middle school teacher, academic coach, and dean of students. Additionally, throughout her tenure in the K-12 education system, Dr. Roy served as an academic associate for Arizona State University and has collaborated with numerous faculty members in conducting research, writing for peer-reviewed journals, and presenting at both national and international education conferences on the removal of educational barriers for students. Dr. Roy earned her B.S. in Elementary Education with a Reading Specialist Endorsement from Indiana University and attended Arizona State University for both her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in English as a Second Language, and Ed.D. in Leadership and Innovation.

Learn how to identify McKinney Vento students, address barriers to attendance and success, and access resources to support these vulnerable students. Discover appropriate measures to take when aware of a student in need and how to obtain necessary support services.
