Rodriguez, Rita
Homeless Education Program Coordinator
Rita Rodriguez considers it a true honor to serve the great State as the Homeless Education Program Coordinator. This work is deeply personal to her, as she is the daughter of someone who experienced homelessness for most of his life. Her dedication to this cause is a heartfelt tribute to her father - a labor of love carried out in his memory. Rita has been serving in the Education field for over 25 years, and her experience as a McKinney-Vento Homeless Liaison for over a decade allows her to bring expertise to support the State of Arizona. She has held the prestigious titles of 2020 National McKinney-Vento Homeless Liaison of the Year, the 2019 Arizona Liaison of the Year 2019 (Arizona Housing Coalition) and 2019 Community Partner of the Year. As the Homeless Education Program Coordinator, she carries the responsibility of providing extensive and comprehensive information through professional learning, technical assistance, and program development.
