Dr. Miraj Wallace is an extremely accomplished individual. During her pas 15 years in agricultural education, Dr. Wallace has willingly accepted many responsibilities that enable her school to operate efficiently. These include serving as her local chapter's FFA Advisor, being a class sponsor, assisting with student council activities, serving on school improvement committees, acting as her school's District Test Coordinator and CTE Director, and facilitating college and career counseling for her students. Dr. Wallace's commitment to academic excellence is evident from her educational background. She holds a B.S. in Animal Science and an M.S. in Agricultural Education, both from the University of Arizona, and has recently completed a double doctorate in Agricultural Education from Texas A&M and Texas Tech Universities. Dr. Wallace fosters relationships within her community by conducting outreach projects and going on home visits with most of the students in her classes. By showing the value she places on following up with students, even beyond high school, Dr. Wallace demonstrates her commitment to student success.

The Arizona Agricultural Education Program Evaluation Instrument (AAEPEI) is designed to allow agricultural educators to evaluate 7 standards in the AAEPEI document: 1: Program Design and Instruction (Curriculum & Program Design, Instruction, Facilities and Equipment, Assessment); Experiential, Project, and WorkâBased Learning Through SAE; 3: Leadership and Personal Development Through FFA; 4: School and Community Partnerships; 5: Marketing; Standard 6: Certified Agriculture Teachers and Professional Growth; and 7: Program Planning and Evaluation.

This session is designed to address topics in the area of public speaking techniques, leadership development, understanding FFA values and mission, and crafting a personal statement that showcases their unique qualifications as part of the selection process. Attendees will also receive valuable feedback from experienced AZ FFA staff, mentors, and past state officers, gaining valuable insights on how to teach their candidates to effectively present themselves as strong candidates.
