Director
Joel Millman joined Pinal County in September 2015 and is currently serving as the Interim Director of the Pinal County Economic and Workforce Development Department. In this capacity, he also serves as the Director of ARIZONA@WORK Pinal County and the Pinal County Workforce Development Board, facilitating the alignment of service delivery offered by several federally funded programs designed to assist businesses meet their workforce needs and by helping individuals prepare for sustainable employment. This effort takes careful coordination between economic development, education and workforce development. Prior to joining Pinal County, Mr. Millman served as the Administrator for the Arizona Department of Economic Security’s Division of Employment and Rehabilitation Services Employment Administration. In 1997, he became the first in Arizona to attain the “Master” level of the International Association of Personnel in Employment Security’s (IAPES) Professional Development Program. In 2018, Mr. Millman was the recipient of the Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED) Workforce Practitioner of the Year. Mr. Millman is a graduate of Arizona State University.
