Aaron Osmond is the CEO and founder of Knowledge Pillars Education, a global provider of web development, coding, and AI certification programs used by schools, universities, and workforce training organizations worldwide. He has spent more than two decades working at the intersection of education, workforce development, and technology. Aaron previously served as a Utah State Senator and as a member of the Utah State Board of Higher Education, where he focused on policies that strengthen career pathways and industry credential attainment. Through Knowledge Pillars, he works with educators to deliver hands on learning experiences that prepare students for real careers in web development, IT, and emerging technologies.

WordPress powers more than 40 percent of the world’s websites and continues to drive strong demand for web development talent across industries, yet many students graduate from web development and design courses without true practical skills or the credentials employers are seeking. This session explores how educators can take students beyond HTML by integrating hands on web development experiences and industry certifications into their CTE programs with WordPress skills. Participants will learn how WordPress can serve as an accessible entry point for students to build real websites, understand modern content management systems, and develop skills aligned with careers in web development, digital marketing, and eCommerce. The session will demonstrate a complete instructional model that combines curriculum, live labs, practice exams, and certification in a single browser-based platform. Attendees will leave with practical strategies to help students build confidence, develop job ready skills, and earn credentials that support both college pathways and immediate workforce opportunities.
