Members of the K-12 Strategic Alliance team from Grand Canyon University (GCU) will examine the need for K-12 Career and Technical Education programs and postsecondary institutions to collaborate closely on workforce development strategies. By forging meaningful partnerships, educators and industry leaders can align educational objectives with the dynamic needs of today's workforce. The session will address the critical reasons why collaborative efforts matter and highlight practical strategies for building effective bridges between K-12 and postsecondary initiatives in the CTE and workforce development landscape. Attendees will explore how these partnerships significantly enhance student outcomes by bridging education and employment opportunities. The session will address how students can develop essential employment skills, earn industry-recognized credentials, and gain valuable practical experience. The session will dispel the idea that learners need to make a choice between CTE pathways and postsecondary pathways.
