The Arizona Rural Health Transformation Program will recruit, train, and retain skilled health professionals serving Arizona’s rural and Tribal communities by creating new and expanding existing workforce initiatives. Additionally, the program will create financial incentives to encourage recruitment and retention of healthcare professionals, collaborating with universities, colleges, and AHECs, with an emphasis on allied health disciplines. Arizona is addressing and coordinating workforce efforts through rural education, provider, and professional incentive models; the workforce program activities are led by the Office of Economic Opportunity and will be managed by the Office over the five-year program duration. We invite participants to the RHTP session in order to learn more about the program, funding opportunities, and healthcare workforce coordination.
