Executive Director, Multi-State Programs Desert Southwest Team
Valeri currently serves Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) as Executive Director for the Desert Southwest Area which includes the states of Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada. Prior to that she was with Mesa Public Schools for 29 years as a teacher, district professional development specialist and AVID District Director. Valeri completed her BS degree at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, then spent the first 5 years of her career teaching English in Las Vegas, NV, with the Clark County School district. She completed her Masters degree in Secondary, Post-Secondary and Vocational Education at UNLV.
