Executive Director, Multi-State Programs Desert Southwest Team
Valeri currently serves as the Executive Director for the Desert Southwest Area of Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), which includes the states of Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada. Prior to this role, she spent 29 years with Mesa Public Schools as a teacher, district professional development specialist, and AVID District Director. Valeri earned her B.S. degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and began her career teaching English in the Clark County School District, where she worked for five years. She later completed her master’s degree in Secondary, Postsecondary, and Vocational Education at UNLV.
