We would love to offer you a unique culinary experience featuring our Executive Pastry Chef, Chris Johnson. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort—overlooking the Santa Catalina Mountains and our cascading waterfall—Chef Chris will host an interactive pastry demonstration celebrating local Arizona ingredients. Chef Chris will guide guests through the artistry and inspiration behind two refined seasonal desserts that celebrate local Arizona ingredients: Fig Leaf Ice Cream, delicately infused with fig leaves and paired with fresh figs harvested from Tucson’s historic Mission Garden, and Pistachio Frangipane Tartlet, crafted with pistachios sourced from the nearby Dragoon Mountains. Guests will enjoy tasting samples of each dessert while Chef Chris walks them through the inspiration, techniques, and the importance of locally sourced ingredients. Each attendee will receive a beautifully designed recipe card to recreate the desserts at home. The demonstration will conclude with an engaging Q&A session, giving guests the opportunity to interact directly with Chef Chris, ask questions, and learn more about the artistry behind his pastry program. This refined culinary moment blends chef-driven storytelling, regional sourcing, and immersive luxury, creating a memorable highlight for attendees.
