This session highlights how LPS curriculum can be energized through hands-on, creative projects that keep learning rigorous and engaging. Participants will see how topics in law enforcement, criminal justice, CSI, forensics, and incident response are taught through student-built crime scene reconstructions and investigative simulations. Using miniature models, staged evidence, and scenario-based narratives, students practice scene analysis, documentation, forensic techniques, and real-world investigative decision-making. Allison Crosby demonstrates how these projects support core academic and technical standards while boosting engagement, creativity, and career readiness. Students naturally develop leadership, teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills as they build scenes, manage mock incidents, and present case outcomes. Attendees will leave with practical ideas and strategies for integrating project-based learning into LPS coursework, making complex topics interactive, memorable, and highly effective for diverse learners.
