Lori Luzier is the lead school counselor at Valley Vista High School in Surprise, Arizona. Prior to becoming a school counselor, she was a Career and Technical Education teacher and DECA advisor for 8 years at Cactus High School (Peoria Unified School District - Peoria, Arizona). Upon completion of her master’s program in School Counseling, she transitioned to Valley Vista High School where she has resided for the past 16 years as a school counselor and completed her ACTEAZ Fellowship. Luzier was the recipient of the 2018 ACTEAZ Career Guidance award, 2019 ACTE Region V Career Guidance award and a 2020 ACTE National Finalist. She is the recipient of the 2020 Dysart Hero award as an outstanding staff member by providing outstanding service to her site, district and community. Luzier has presented at local, state and national conferences on various topics related to School Counseling and Career and Technical Education.
