Sharon Metzger serves as the NAAE Region I Vice President, elected at the 2025 NAAE Convention after previously serving as Region I Secretary. A Tucson native, she holds a B.S. in Agricultural Education from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree from Northern Arizona University. Sharon founded the agriculture program at Basha High School in 2003 and has been a dedicated agriculture educator there ever since. An active member of AATA, she is also a past recipient of the ACTE Region V Teacher of the Year Award, earning the honor in 2017.
