After a 21 year United States Air Force Career as a Printing and Graphic Design Specialist, Pete wanted to meet one of his bucket list items, and coach baseball at the high school level. So in 2003 he enrolled in the Troops To Teachers Program, completed his Post Bac and became a Digital Printing Instructor at Pueblo Magnet High School in Tucson Arizona. He filled the Bucket List as the freshman baseball coach that same school year. In 2011 he published his first of 6 Pueblo High Yearbooks with Walsworth and Balfore Publishing. In 2015 he transferred to Tucson High Magnet School, and was relegated to the Communications Media Technology (CMT) Foundations Classes. In 2019 (COVID Year) Pete took over the Yearbook class, while still teaching four fifths of Graphic Design Foundation. Pete has published an additional 6 yearbooks at Tucson High. Pete has earned a BS in Management and Technical Operation from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, National Business Certified, Post Bachelorette in Teaching from Pima Community College, and his M.Ed. CTE Leadership from Northern Arizona University. Pete has been married for 29 years, has 4 adult kids, one of which is 4th generation Air Force, and 5 grandkids.

Session participants will see how Digital Communications prepares students for college, and direct placement in jobs. See how it meets different ADE CTE State Program Standards. Participants will see how using the Adobe Suite, Google and Microsoft Documents, and don't ever forget Microsoft Excel, can make your life easier.
