Jason Gee, M.S., ED. D (ABD) serves as the Dean of Career and Technical Education (CTE) at Mohave Community College (MCC), bringing over two decades of experience in higher education. His academic journey began as an English faculty member at Otero Junior College in La Junta, Colorado, from 2001 to 2003, where he taught courses in English composition and literature, humanities, public speaking, technical theater, philosophy, and technical writing. He continued his teaching career at Williston State College in Williston, North Dakota, from 2003 to 2008, further honing his instructional skills. Gee pursued doctoral studies in Higher Education Administration with a focus on community colleges at Idaho State University (ISU) in Pocatello, Idaho, between 2008 and 2012. During this period, he served as a graduate assistant for the Higher Education Administration Department and as an academic advisor for the College of Education, enriching his understanding of academic leadership and student support. In 2012, Gee joined Mohave Community College in Kingman, Arizona. Following a college reorganization in 2015 that established the CTE Division, he initially assumed the role of Associate Dean of Instruction for Career and Technical Education. Appointed to Dean in 2022, he now oversees a diverse array of programs, including Automotive Collision and Service, Carpentry, Culinary Arts, Electrical, HVAC, and Welding. Gee is dedicated to developing competency-based programming in technical trades, both in credit and noncredit formats, tailored to industry needs and providing flexible scheduling for students. A notable initiative under his leadership is the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center, envisioned as the premier technical training facility in the Northwest Arizona region. Throughout his career, Gee has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and workforce development, significantly contributing to the growth and success of Mohave Community Colleges Career and Technical Education programs.

Historically, CTE faculty at Mohave College had been paid on the traditional salary schedule with other faculty. This resulted in significant pay disparity that could not be easily rectified. Following a transition off-load to pay scales more reflective of industry pay, CTE faculty now receive much more equitable pay. The last hurdle to overcome was that of overload pay. Come see the process that established overload pay based on actual schedules and other aspects of faculty work.
