Mr. Fitterer, Scott

Scott Fitterer is a product of CTE education, starting as an AG ED student in Chino Valley. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona in Agricultural Technology and Education. While in the classroom, Scott taught AG ED, and Softwear & App Design. He taught both here in Arizona and in Oregon. When he returned to Northern Arizona, he worked at MICTED before transitioning to his current district. Scott now serves as the CTE Director for Bradshaw Mountain High School, a part of the Humboldt Unified School District in Prescott Valley, Arizona.

This session introduces the concept of “leading up”—the ability to influence and communicate effectively with supervisors and decision-makers. Participants will learn practical strategies for presenting ideas with clarity and confidence, building trust, and navigating organizational dynamics, regardless of job title. Through real-world examples and reflective prompts, attendees will explore how strong ideas can drive meaningful change even without formal authority. Drawing on leadership research and professional experience, this session provides tools to strengthen influence, resilience, and purposeful leadership at every level.
