Matt Weber began his career in CTE teaching high school business, accounting, and computer classes to Mogollon High School students in Heber, AZ in 1989. While simultaneously teaching business and computer courses for Northland Pioneer College in Heber, Holbrook, and Show Low, he became Heber-Overgaard’s CTE Director in 1991 and K-8 Principal in 1996. Once voters approved the creation of the first rural Career and Technical Education District (CTED) in Arizona, he became Principal of the NAVIT CTED in 2000 became Superintendent in April 2008. His passion for CTE is evidenced NAVIT’s commitment to bring high school juniors and seniors from 11 area high schools to CTE Programs at the Northland Pioneer College Campuses in Navajo and Apache Counties as well as Gila Community College in Payson. He appreciates the power of partnerships with local community colleges and businesses which help prepare students for marketable jobs right out of high school. In addition, he values the commitment of NAVIT’s 11 satellite high schools that work diligently to provide multiple CTE Programs to their students on their local high school campuses. He and wife, Pattie, enjoy living in Heber and are grateful for their 8 children and 13 grandchildren.

Join us for the NAVIT CTED Only Welcome Session as we kick off the 2025 Summer Conference! This informal gathering is designed to greet our NAVIT CTED attendees, introduce this year’s conference theme and focus, and set the tone for an impactful week of learning and collaboration. This session will bring together NAVIT CTED educators and staff for a brief yet meaningful connection before the full conference begins.
