With over 20 years of experience in Career and Technical Education, Mike Walker is a CTE Coordinator with the Agua Fria High School District. Starting in the field of software development and transitioning into education where he primarily taught Film & TV production for 19 years. Mike has extensive experience in the development of curriculum, hands-on training, industry partnership, community outreach, CTSOs and all types of student-based competitions where his students achieved numerous accolades at the local, regional, state and national levels. He has worked closely with business partners to showcase CTE initiatives and prepare students for success beyond the classroom.

Join the Agua Fria High School District's CTE team as they share the purpose and the positive student data collected from their innovative 'Freshman Experience' course. This session will include topics relating to Positive Data (Fs, behavior, tardies, etc.), aligning with the District's "Portrait of a Graduate", District-wide Guaranteed Experiences, Industry involvement, and Student Portfolio (support for ECAP). We will additionally discuss incorporating of Exceptional Student Services (ESS), AI, Professional Skills, and more! (ADE Sponsored)
