Mrs. Webb, Heather

Heather Webb, has 23 years of education experience. Her educational philosophy is "Every student can succeed, if provided the opportunity and environment to do it." Heather's journey in CTE began while in high school which helped form her philosophical belief. She was a member and served in leadership roles with the Cactus High School FFA and FCCLA-Early Childhood Education. Flash forward to post-secondary learning where she completed both her Bachelor's and Master's Degree in 7-12 English Language Education, and K-12, School Counseling at Ottawa University, Phoenix, AZ. Her first 5 years of teaching began in the Pendergast Elementary School District as an 8th grade language arts teacher; followed by 3 years as a K-8 school counselor. In 2007, she joined the Valley Vista High School Counseling Guidance team. In November of 2012, Mrs. Webb earned her National Board Teacher Certification in K-12 School Counseling. She supports the growth of CTE programs both within her district and at the state level through her professional membership with the ACTEAZ. In July of 2018, she completed the three-year fellows' program with the ACTEAZ. In December of 2018, she became a member of the ACTEAZ Fellowship Coordinator Team, co-facilitating leadership and CTE advocacy within the fellowship program. Heather has been awarded as the ACTEAZ State (2020) Career Guidance Award recipient and 2021 ACTE Region V Guidance and Career Development Award winner. She is recognized as an ACTE 2022 National Award Finalist. She has been a high school and club volleyball coach for 19 years. On a personal note, she is a wife and mother of three amazing kids!
