Donte' attended NAU for both her Athletic Training and Teaching degrees. She has a BS in Athletic Training and her Masters in Teaching. Donte' has been an athletic trainer for almost 12 years now and teaching for 8.5 years. She has implemented this project since the start of her career and it has only has grown from there. She is excited to share what she knows in hopes that it will make your class fun and dynamic for all.

This session highlights a scenario-based, semester-long project designed for sports medicine courses, with the flexibility to be adapted for any healthcare class. The three-part project guides students through the process of working with a simulated client, requiring them to develop appropriate workouts, treatments, and recommendations. Through this experience, students build critical thinking and decision-making skills that closely mirror real-world professional practice.
