Are you always trying to track down equipment, struggle with getting things put away, and beating your head against the wall trying to keep track of what works/what doesn't/what seems hopelessly lost? Or maybe your students aren't talking to each other/interacting very little. Me too! Until I borrowed and adapted this classroom strategy! Incorporating just this one change has transformed my classroom to be more organized, relaxed, cooperative, and efficient. Great for collaborative classrooms and those programs that use a variety of various tools and/or equipment.

Every group project is the same; Ten Percent of the Group does 90% of the work, and everyone else rides on their coat-tails. But what if you could design your PBL (Project Based Learning) projects to be more Collaborative, Accountable, and Fair! Join me to see how to design the parameters of a project, establish a hierarchy, incorporate self-reflection, partner evaluations, and peer ratings/feedback, while also including equitable grading, and what to do if/when a group project collapses.

How do we grow and learn? It's a process; we try something, get feedback, then revise. But teaching students how to give Feedback can be quite the challenge. "I like it" isn't very helpful, and "That was the worst thing I've ever seen" is harmful. Both giving AND receiving Feedback is a life skill and our students need to know how to navigate the waters. Join me to learn how we manage Feedback in our Film class with LASaR Focus.
