Accomplished in profit and non-profit small business administration, René has over thirty years of experience in a variety of early childhood education settings and family-based service delivery organizations. She is also recognized as a leader in the establishment of partnerships and programs that create opportunities for early care and education professionals to obtain professional development, national credentials, and post-secondary credentials. All her work is designed to increase the quality of care and education for young children by educating those employed in the field. She is currently the Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Education Professions Program department at Rio Salado College in Tempe, Arizona.

Helping your students understand the career opportunities, education support, and other resources available for careers ECE industry is a primary goal for ECE CTE educators. This session will showcase newly developed resources, lesson plans, tips, and tools you can use in your classroom to explore ECE careers, apprenticeship opportunities, scholarships, and support available for this workforce. Attendees in this session will leave with access to the Career A Week video platform, lesson plans, assessments, resources, and tools designed specifically for high school ECE CTE programs.
