William is an AZ native (Safford) and has an Associate's Degree in Hospitality Mangement and a Bachelor's Degree in Restaurant Management from Le Cordon Bleu. He has been a teacher for 20 years and currently teaches culinary arts at Show Low high School. Mr. Crawford has been married for 44 years, and has five children and 15 grandchildren! He loves cooking and watching people eat and enjoy good food. William is not a fancy food person and likes comfort food. Mr. Crawford has also spent 5 1/2 years in the Army as an infantry soldier. He has liked cooking since he was very little and has been cooking since the age of three! Cooking is his great passion in life, outside of his family and he loves the idea of helping others learn to cook and understand the basics of it.

This session is for Culinary Arts teachers and administrators who would like to learn how to implement standards-based grading (using all 12 Culinary Arts Technical Standards) in the classroom to help the students succeed on the Technical Skills Assessment. This session will also help with information retention for day-to-day materials and lessons, and items related to industry credentials.
