Bring your students to a sale barn auction inside your classroom! Whether the sale barn is in your town or two hours away, this lesson can help students think like cattle feeders, using math to determine how and when to bid on cattle at the sale barn. Extending learning opportunities can turn this lesson into valuable Agricultural Business and Economic lessons covering several of the Arizona Department of Education's Technical Standards for Agriscience.
