Julie Rodriguez's educational journey has taken her from the classroom, where she dedicated 20 years to teaching various subjects and grade levels, to becoming an instructional coach and expanding her expertise at different Career and Technical Education Districts (CTEDs). Her path led her to the Curriculum and Instruction Specialist role, bridging the gap between theory and practice. Today, as the Director of Program Research and Development at West-MEC, she plays a pivotal role in shaping innovative educational initiatives and creating industry-needed programs, while also crafting career pathways for students to discover their future careers.

In this course teachers will enhance classroom management skills by developing rules, procedures and routines that are aligned to their content and environment. We will consider the philosophy of "Discipline with Dignity" to ensure that you possess discipline strategies that are highly effective without escalating disruptive student behavior. Participants will leave with a draft syllabus for use in their own classroom. This is an ADE approved Professional Development Event. Upon successful completion of the course which includes submission of homework, participants will receive an ADE certificate for 15 professional development clock hours which equates to one (1) semester hour of coursework.

In this session, attendees will learn more about the various manufacturing and engineering pathways, the related demand, and how to design a pathway at your campus.
