Serenity Gielau (M.A.Ed,) Born and raised in Arizona, she is a proud product of Mesa Public Schools; graduating from Westwood High School in 1995. She was immediately college bound attending ASU to receive her BA in 2000. After a couple years in the workforce, she decided to further her education at the University of Phoenix and graduated with a Master’s Degree in 2005. Throughout her career, Serenity has demonstrated a passion for building strong learning opportunities for students and teachers, constantly seeking out new challenges and opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills. She has held a variety of roles in education, including Teacher, Professional Learning Specialist, Gallup Strengths Coach and Instructional Coach. Each role has challenged her in new ways and allowed her opportunities to learn alongside a variety of talented educators. In her 22nd year of education, she is currently the CTE Professional Learning Specialist for Mesa Public Schools. In addition, she is a Certified Gallup Strengths Coach and just joined the Premier Series Family to offer valuable learning opportunities to CTE teachers across the state. Given the choice, Serenity’s free time is spent in the great outdoors with her family and friends; from the beach to the mountains, she loves it all!

    In this highly engaging course teachers will focus on the design and delivery of relevant and engaging lessons. Special emphasis is placed on writing clear, aligned and measurable objective(s), a variety of methods for structuring learning to meet objective(s), incorporation of active participation strategies, developing a strong introduction to each lesson, and closure to assess learning. This is an ADE approved Professional Development Event. Upon completion of this two-day training you will earn the equivalent of one ADE credit.
