Tonia Flanagan has been in education for over 23 years as a teacher, instructional coach, and for the last 10 years, as a Principal all with KUSD. Currently, she is the Support Services Coordinator for Western Arizona Vocational Education (WAVE). This positions gives her the opportunity to do what she loves, work with students to find strengths in themselves that lead to future opportunities, collaborate with community partners, and well as work with educators providing professional development to improve their craft. As the Support Services Coordinator Tonia bridges the ever-changing needs of the workforce and education. She's been blessed with a supportive husband and five wonderful children. When not working or at her kids' events, she loves to travel, find a beach, and read.

    In this highly engaging course teachers will focus on the design and delivery of relevant and engaging lessons. Special emphasis is placed on writing clear, aligned and measurable objective(s), a variety of methods for structuring learning to meet objective(s), incorporation of active participation strategies, developing a strong introduction to each lesson, and closure to assess learning. This is an ADE approved Professional Development Event. Upon completion of this two-day training you will earn the equivalent of one ADE credit.
