Nelly is a Certified K-12 teacher that has more than 10 years of experience working with students with special needs. She worked for Sahuarita Unified School District for 8 years as a high school teacher. She also worked as an Employment Specialist with the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) helping students transitioning from high school to employment, postsecondary education, or a vocational program. She is now working for Vocational Rehabilitation Services as a Transition Specialist where she works closely with schools and the Arizona Department of Education.
