Dr. Edward Franklin is a lifetime agriculture educator. Spending first 13 years in the high school classroom and laboratory as an agriculture science instructor and FFA chapter adviser. The last 26 years Dr. Franklin has served as a teacher-educator with the Agriculture Education, Technology & Innovation (AETI) Department in the College of Agriculture, Life, & Environmental Sciences (CALES) at The University of Arizona. Primary focus is the preparation of pre-service teachers to teach agriculture mechanics curriculum in the laboratory setting. Curriculum topics include traditional agriculture construction curriculum with renewable energy topics including solar PV, wind energy, as well as drone technology systems.
