  • Communication Media Technologies
  • School Counseling

Speaking up about mental health issues or learning disorders can be challenging for students. Stories have the power to break through shielding defenses and build a bridge to empathy and understanding. This session introduces and explores stories that are part of #MyYoungerSelf series in which celebrities and newsmakers talk about the ways they have overcome challenges with their mental health. School counselors will examine and unpack these stories to identify ways to support students. Participants will have the opportunity to generate their own #MyYoungerSelf video to share, post or keep.
