Dennis Bushong brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to iCEV in his position as a curriculum consultant. Bushong taught agricultural science for 38 years at Gilbert High School in Gilbert, AZ. During his tenure at Gilbert, Bushong served as the department chair for 26 years. In addition to his years of experience in high school classrooms, Bushong also worked as an adjunct professor at Mesa Community College for ten years and served on several local and state advisory committees.

This two-day session is designed to help teachers who want to certify in CTE or industry professionals whose certification comes with deficiencies that must be cleared within 3 years. The first day will be offsite and the second day will be at the Westin. Teachers in Agriculture Education (AgriScience) are tasked with developing their programs for their respective school districts. The session will concentrate on the needs of the teachers in the first few weeks of school to develop the program’s initial curriculum, Work Based Learning Activities, and CTSO management. Agriculture Education II will explore other unique items for ag educators in the AAEPEI evaluation, FFA evaluation, Extended Contracts and AET management.
