Retaining and attracting young people in and to rural Arizona requires offering quality jobs with advancement opportunities. Likewise, rural employers are in need of local talent pipelines and are striving to retain young workers. Local First Arizona surveyed youth and young professionals between the ages of 16 and 24 about their local educational and career opportunities in 8 rural communities. This perspective directly from young people will inform and inspire educational leaders how to help them tap their full potential in the professional and geographic areas where they most want to be.
