Sarah Bixler is currently the Director of Pathway Alignment at the Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation and ElevateEdAZ. In this position she develops new pathways for high school students in high-wage, high demand careers and oversees initiatives to increase dual enrollment across the state. Prior to this role, Sarah served as a high school administrator in both Arizona and Colorado. She was passionate about working with students identifying meaningful post-secondary goals while having a memorable high school experience. She also spent nine years as a special education teacher and is a consultant for The RJ Solution, LLC, working to create positive school communities through Restorative Justice across Colorado and Arizona. Sarah is an Arizona native and graduated from Arizona State University. She has returned home after living and working in Colorado. She enjoys tennis, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Participants will understand the importance and benefits of dual enrollment/early college credit attainment and how these opportunities round out CTE pathways. We will review best dual enrollment courses, opportunities for accelerated pathways, and strategies to implement these practices. Participants will hear from educators who have successfully implemented these strategies. This session is presented by ElevateEdAZ.
